Privacy policy
What Remote CMO collects on this site, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. In short: we use your details only to reply to you, we delete emails from prospects after 30 days, and we never sell your information.

Who we are
Remote CMO (remotecmo.io) is a marketing consulting brand run by Ankit Gupta. When this page says "we" or "us", it means Remote CMO.

What we collect
When you use the free snapshot form: your name, work email, brand website, the markets you tick and up to 3 competitor names, if you add them. The email we receive from the form also shows your IP address and the time you sent it. The form has one hidden field that only spam bots fill in; people never see it.
When you email us, message us on WhatsApp or book a call: whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email, company and message. WhatsApp and Google Calendar run those services under their own privacy policies.
When we email you first: if we reach out to you about our services and you reply, we have your name, email and whatever you write back.
When you browse the site: we use Google Analytics (ID G-N3G6ZERTZH) to see how the site is used. It records things like the pages you view, how you found the site, your rough location (country or city), your device and browser, and whether a form was sent. It does not give us your name or email.
Cookies
The site does not use advertising cookies. These are the only cookies set when you visit remotecmo.io:
- _ga and _ga_N3G6ZERTZH: set by Google Analytics to tell visits apart and count returning visitors. They last about 13 months.
- hcdn: set by our hosting provider's network to deliver pages. It is deleted when you close your browser.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Why we use it
To reply to you and send the snapshot or audit you asked for, to follow up about that request, to do the work for clients, and to understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
We do not send newsletters from the snapshot form, and we do not use your details for advertising.
How long we keep it
Emails from prospects are deleted after 30 days. This covers snapshot form submissions, enquiries from people who contact us, and replies to emails we send to people we would like to work with, as long as they do not become clients.
If you become a client, we keep our emails with you for as long as we need them to do the work for you. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share it with the services that run this site:
- Hostinger, which hosts the website and sends the form email to us.
- Google, which runs our business email (where form and enquiry emails arrive) and Google Analytics.
- Google Fonts, cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr, which serve the fonts and code that the pages load. Like any website, they see your IP address when your browser loads those files.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ankit@remotecmo.io and we will reply as soon as we can.
You can also browse the site with cookies blocked. The site still works.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
